Women's Ministry

Called SWOP which stands for Snyder Women of Purpose, Snyder’s Women’s Ministry, endeavors to provide spiritual growth and fellowship opportunities while incorporating a mission emphasis. From Bible Studies to Book Clubs, from mission groups to mom’s gatherings to fellowship opportunities, SWOP reaches out to women in the church and into the community at large. Both evening and morning Bible study groups offer spiritual discipleship and are growing. The long anticipated Annual Women’s Brunch/Prayer Walk and Mission Roundtable events continue to create a strong community of faith. From supporting home missionaries to sponsoring children on a state level and internationally, the Women’s Ministry contributes to Snyder’s Ministry of Missions focus with their time, talents and financial gifts.

MOPS (Mothers of Preschoolers)

MOPS stands for “mothers of preschoolers” – but don’t let that confuse you. MOPS is about meeting the needs of every mom of a child from conception through kindergarten. Whether you’re urban, suburban, rural, stay-at-home, working, teen, adoptive, special-needs, single or married, MOPS is for you!

We are single, married, widowed, divorced, totally different mothers who know that it only takes attending one MOPS meeting to realize that we are all the same! We meet the 1st and 3rd Fridays of each month with the purpose of uplifting, inspiring and supporting our members. We boast a variety of guest speakers and activities to give Mom’s the encouragement they need to be their true authentic selves.

MomsNEXT

MomsNEXT is a group experience for mothers with school-age children. This group provides the support and resources for the changes we experience as our kids grow up. We generally meet on the second and fourth Fridays of the month, beginning September and continuing through May. Meetings are from 9:30 to 11:30 am in the Chapel of SMBC. Our main monthly meetings are held on the second Friday of the month and include an oh-so-delicious brunch. Our fellowship meeting will be on the fourth Friday of each month. During these meetings we delve into the challenges of motherhood through guest speakers, relevant teachings, and honest conversations.
