Membership

Just as a body, though one, has many parts, but all its many parts form one body, so it is with Christ. -1 Corinthians 12:12

It is not a requirement to be a member of Snyder Memorial Baptist Church in order to participate in the worship and growth experiences. However, many who attend our church feel "at home” and want to share in a significant act that makes them feel even more like family. Membership is a way of being a part of a unified body of believers who stand together as witness of their beliefs and join hands to carry out the Great Commission.

At the close of almost every service, we like to extend an invitation to join the church and become a member of Snyder Memorial Baptist Church.

You may become a member of Snyder Memorial Baptist Church by any of the following ways:
  • Profession of your faith in Jesus Christ as your Savior and asking for Baptism
  • Statement of your previous commitment to Jesus Christ and that you have been baptized by immersion
  • Membership transfer of letter from another church

Although the act of Baptism has no miraculous power in itself, it is a picture of a person being cleansed of their “old ways” and beginning a “brand new life”. Jesus himself was baptized by immersion at the beginning of His ministry. It is a witness to all who watch that God, through Jesus, gives us new life. Baptism by immersion is a core belief of our church and an important part of our membership.

If you have not been baptized by immersion, we would be more than happy to answer any questions you may have. Contact the Church Office at (910) 484-3191.
