Children’s Choirs

Clouds! They are a magnificent part of God’s creation! Scientists tell us there are ten different types of clouds that adorn the heavens. Then, there’s technology. When it comes to computing, the cloud seems to be everywhere, handling data and running applications. Hebrews 12 also mentions a cloud. This cloud is filled with timeless significance. It is the, “great cloud of witnesses,” referring to the heroes of faith listed in Hebrews 11—a rich spiritual legacy of those whose lives of obedience provide worthy models for us. These champions of faith motivate us to lay aside distractions and sin, and with steady determination, run a faithful race as we keep our eyes on Jesus.

As followers of Christ, we need champions to inspire us and to serve as examples. Champions appear throughout the Bible as extraordinary servants of God. This year, our curriculum has selected eight champion stories to inspire and teach children.

As we explore the attributes of each hero in our Champions of Faith theme, we do so “looking to Jesus the pioneer and perfecter of our faith.”

We introduce music to our three year olds by singing familiar songs together and get them ready to sing at worship when they are four. Preschool (4s & 5s) & Music Makers (1st – 3rd grades) will sing twice during worship this year. Young Musicians (4th- 6th grades) will sing in worship and the Singing Christmas Tree. By mid-October, parents of Young Musicians will receive all the details of the Singing Christmas Tree.
