Traditional worship

Broadcast Live 640 AM WFNC at 11:00am each Sunday. Our traditional worship service is held at 11:00 each Sunday. This dynamic service features strong Biblical preaching, an outstanding 90 voice choir, excellent piano and pipe organ accompaniment, and a wide range of orchestral contributions, all designed to bring you into close communion with our Lord Jesus Christ. Dr. Larry Dickens, our Minister of Music, likes to say that this worship service “is traditional with a twist.” He includes a wide range of music to appeal to many different musical tastes, all carefully chosen to help the worshippers focus on that day’s Scripture and sermon theme. On many Sundays he includes one of our many other musical groups such as the orchestra, children’s choirs, or 90 voice Youth Choir, to enhance the worship experience.

  Ordinances

Our church observes the ordinances of baptism and the Lord's Supper. Baptism is by immersion for those who have joined the church by coming forward at the end of either worship service to indicate that they have accepted Jesus Christ as their personal Savior. Baptism in the traditional service is done in the church baptistry and in the New Way service in a portable baptistry. The Lord's Supper is celebrated in both services and is available to all church members, non members and guests who have personally accept Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior.
