THE BOOK OF JOB

Led by Pastor John Cook
Many people have heard about Job and his trials, but not many people understand what those trials were all about and what God was trying to accomplish through them. Neither did Job, at least not at first. But as Job asked hard questions of himself, his friends, and his God, he gained new insights on suffering, patience, and endurance. And he learned a valuable lesson about how powerful – and caring – the Lord really is. Whether you have suffered, are suffering now, or are helping a loved one cope with suffering, this study is designed to help us learn patience and trust in our trials.

Session: February 3 – April 28 (12-weeks no class April 7)

MAX LUCADO'S: FEARLESS

Led by Wayne Ham
We fear being sued, finishing last, going broke, a mole on your back, and the sound of the clock as it ticks us closer to the grave. It feels dreadful and sometimes keeps us from living the life we want to lead. Max Lucado says in his book Fearless that “faith, not fear should be the default reaction to threats.” According to Jesus, that is possible. This group will discuss meeting fear without fear. Limited to 20 participants.
Room: B1044
Session: February 3 - March 10 (6-weeks no class April 7)
Cost: $15 book available in the church library
