| Snyder Memorial Baptist Church is serious about the congregation and community pastoral care it provides. We would like you to know pastoral care is something that all of our ministers try to provide throughout all of our ministries to all pockets of people. However we do have concentrated ministries that focus on pastoral care and counseling activities alone.
At Snyder Rev. Robbie Byrd serves as our Minister of Counseling and Pastoral Care. There are times in this life when individuals and families have a tough time dealing with life’s stressors on their own. We all need help to make sense of what is going on in our lives. At Snyder we try to do this respecting others’ religious beliefs and denominational heritages, but counseling here is provide based on the foundational premise that Jesus Christ is our Savior and Lord. We believe when counseling flows out of our faith it can accomplish so much more.
The services offered through the Counseling and Pastoral Care Ministries at Snyder are open to all. Members, however, are eligible to receive counseling services at no cost to them. Non-members will be charged a nominal fee at the time for each counseling session. Snyder’s Counseling Ministries makes ever effort to provide counseling to all regardless of their financial resources.
Rev. Byrd is an ordained minister, who is also licensed by the state of North Carolina as a clinical social worker. At Snyder we also have a close working relationship with the Fayetteville Family Life Center and if it is needed, we have the option to make a direct referral to the counselors at this well-respected local Christian counseling center.
