Pastoral Care and Counseling

Snyder Memorial Baptist Church is serious about the congregational and community pastoral care it provides. We would like you to know pastoral care is something that all of our ministers try to provide throughout all of our ministries to all pockets of people. However we do have concentrated ministries that focus on pastoral care and counseling activities alone.

At Snyder Dr. Robbie Byrd serves as our Associate Pastor/Minister of Counseling. Dr. Byrd is an ordained minister, who is also licensed by the state of North Carolina as a clinical social worker. There are times in this life when individuals and families have a tough time dealing with life’s stressors on their own. We all need help to make sense of what is going on in our lives. At Snyder, our counseling is based on the foundational premise that Jesus Christ is our Savior and Lord. We believe when counseling flows out of the Christian faith it can accomplish so much more.

The services offered through the Counseling and Pastoral Care Ministries at Snyder are open to church members and prospects at no cost. However, due to the number of church members here at Snyder, counseling here is purposefully intended for short term periods. Out of these times education, resource, and referral can be the products. At Snyder we have a close working relationship with the Fayetteville Family Life Center, as such we have the option to make a direct referral to the counselors at this well-respected local Christian counseling center.
