BARKER LIBRARY AND MEDIA CENTER
With over 17,000 catalogued items, Snyder’s
library is an excellent source of enrichment and entertainment.
ADULT BOOKS:
The library has one room devoted to theology
and devotional books. There are many sets of commentaries, hundreds
of devotional and Christian growth books and a section on church
history.
The Christian fiction is excellent with all
the best selling Christian authors and an extensive selection
of series books by authors like Dee Henderson, Karen Kingsbury,
Jan Karon and Angela Hunt. We have many English mysteries and
suspense novels by writers like Ted Dekker and T. Davis Bunn.

BOOKS FOR YOUNG READERS:
In addition to research books for young readers
there are hundreds of "easy reader" and "chapter
books." All of the books which are on the Accelerated Readers’
list of Van Story, Max Abbott, and Ashley are labeled with colored
discs for easy access. The books which are in the Snyder library
for Accelerated Reader lists from other schools are available
at the check out desk. In addition to hundreds of fun books, there
are books for preschoolers which deal with subjects like getting
along with friends, honesty, death, divorce and other life lessons.
BOOKS ON TAPE AND CD:
The new way to "read" is listen while
you ride or work! As in the printed word, Snyder has a wide variety
of tapes and CD’s that extend from the Bible on tape to
Agatha Christie to Jannete Oke to piano music by Snyder’s
church pianist, Joy Cogswell.

Old John Wayne movies, Disney classics, McGee and
Me, Veggie Tales, musicals, Thomas the Train, Barney, the Best of
Bob Hope, dramatized Bible stories, Gary Smalley marriage enrichment
