Family Skate Party
January 30
From 4-5:30pm at Eutaw Round-A-Bout Skating Center. Admission will be $4 per skater. Be sure to invite your family and friends to come with you!

Lead Team Pizza Party
January 31
Held at 11am and 12noon in the Fellowship Hall. Cost: $3 per person. Pizza, drinks, and brownies served. For families with children and those who work with children. After lunch we will briefly discuss children’s activities for the upcoming months. Adults will have an opportunity to sign up to help on the Lead Teams they are interested in.

Valentine Visit
February 3
GA’s (Grades 1-3) will be going to Haymont Rehabilitation Center for a Valentine visit. We will be leaving after choir rehearsal and return around 7:30pm.

Souper Bowl of Caring
February 7
RA’s (Grades 1-6) will be collecting money after each service with their football helmets in hand. All money will be given to Salvation Army Love Lunches to help feed those in need.

Come Talk About It!
February 18 (Grades 1-3)
February 25 (Grades 4-6)
An intimate, friendly small group gathering where children can freely and safely discuss concerns, needs, and questions. The adult counselor will do more listening than talking. Through devotions, children will learn to go to the Bible to find God’s answers. Motto: “Go To God!” Meetings will be held monthly in Afterschool area beginning at 3:30pm. Children from Afterschool as well as church children are welcome.

RA Road Rally Workday
February 27 & March 6
(Grades 1-6)
RA’s and their Dads are invited to the Carpentry Shop to work on their race cars for the upcoming Road Rally. For those RA’s whose Dad is deployed - help will be available. Other adult males who are willing to lend a hand are also invited to help.

RA Road Rally Race
March 7 (Grades 1-6)
In the Fellowship Hall beginning at 2:00pm, our boys will be competing with the race cars they have made. Great family fun – the whole family, and friends are invited to come cheer them on. (Practice runs are February 24 and March 3 from 6:30-7:30pm).

GA’s St. Patrick’s Day Visit
March 17
GA’s (Grades 4-6) will be going to Haymont Rehabilitation Center for a St. Patrick’s Day visit. We will be leaving after choir rehearsal and return at 7:30pm.

Children’s Day
April 25 (Grades 1-6)
Children are given an opportunity to sign up for various worship responsibilities, and will be worship leaders for the New Way and 11am services. Graded choirs will also sing that day.

Recognition Service

May 5
In Fellowship Hall at 6:15pm honoring Mission Friends, GA’s and RA’s. Parents are invited to attend and celebrate their childs participation in mission groups.

RA Camp Out at Jordan Lake
May 8-9
For fathers and sons-camping, cooking, swimming, & boating. Surragates are available for those RA’s who have deployed dads.

GA Camp Mundo Vista
June 14-18
(For Girls Grades 4-6) This year’s theme is “Live Love!” Located in the Uwharrie Mountains of central NC near Asheboro, campers will enjoy Bible study, swimming, nature activities, meeting missionaries, and worship at the outdoor chapel.
Cost: $175.

Passport Kids 2010
June 28 - July 1
The theme this year “Barefoot: How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news!” Romans 10:15. Will be held at Wingate University. For kids who have completed 4th through 6th grade. Cost: $230.

VBS 2010
Heroes Headquarters
July 19-23
Be amazed at what God can do. Kids will discover unnamed heroes who were not super or powerful, yet their small acts were used by God to do wonderful things! What they had was a willingness to be used by God right where they lived. Join us daily from 9am until 12noon. (Ages 4-years old through
6th grade).

New Christian Class
Offered 3-4 times a year during Sunday School. This class is designed for children who are New Christians or those asking questions about becoming a Christian. Suggested grade level is 3rd through 6th. New class schedule is to be announced.

Summer Reading
Be sure to check out the Accelerated Reader List in our library. We have list from Alma Easom, Vanstory, Ashley, Gallberry Farm, Margaret Willis, and Glendale Elementary Schools - as well as Butner School, and Max Abbott Middle School. Books are highlighted if we have them in our library.
