Joseph M. Martin |
Joseph Martin is a native of North Carolina, is Director of Sacred Publications for Shawnee Press, Inc. and currently resides in Austin, Texas. He has performed solo piano recitals and has been the featured artist with symphony orchestras in the United States and Mexico. His first solo piano recording, American Tapestry, was nominated for a Dove Award. His music can be heard in such diverse locations as Carnegie Hall in New York City; the Mel Tillis Theatre in Branson, Missouri; and in hundreds of worship services in churches across the United States and Canada. |

The Singing Christmas Tree
A Fayetteville tradition for 29 years, this production features 250 singers, 2 handbell choirs, and a 40 piece orchestra. Call early October 27) for free tickets. PERFORMANCE DATES:

Dennis Swanberg |
Dennis Swanberg, “The Swan”... is considered by many as “America’s Minister of Encouragement.” He uses laughter as a tool to break down people’s barriers about themselves and promotes faith and family values in a lighthearted and humorous way. He has the reputation of instilling hope and motivating people from all walks of life.
Dr. Swanberg graduated from Baylor University and holds a Masters and Doctorate from Southwestern Seminary located in Fort Worth, Texas.
Dr. Swanberg will not only bring you laughter and a time of reflection, but you will leave feeling like you have just had a time of fellowship with someone over the backyard fence. Dennis has a beautiful wife, Lauree, and two sons, Chad and Dusty. He resides in Monroe, Louisiana.

Spring Concert

Favorite hymn tunes, classical anthems, and choral favorites will be presented by the 100 voice choir and 40 piece orchestra. The Snyder Choir has been featured in concert with the Fayetteville Symphony, Steve Green, and Pat Boone. The choir has participated in international festivals held in England and Switzerland conducted by Sir David Willcocks. The Snyder Orchestra is one of the largest church orchestras in our state and includes both professional and advanced level players from the Fayetteville community. They have performed for the NC Baptist Convention and have accompanied the NC Baptist All State Youth Choir. |

Youth Choir Tour Finale

This 100 voice choir leads worship several times a year at Snyder Memorial. They have been featured in regional Christmas productions and participated in national and international music festivals. In the summer of 2005, twenty members of this choir participated in the International Church Music Festival in Bern, Switzerland. The choir also presented a concert for the North Carolina Baptist Music Week at Caswell in July, 2006. This performance, the climax of their 2008-2009 season, will come at the end of their annual mini-tour. Nine singers from this group were selected as members of the 2008 North Carolina Baptist All State Choir. The group is under the direction of Larry Dickens, Joy Cogswell, and Dr. Robert Williams. |

Festival of Keyboards

The Festival of Keyboards concert, featuring music played on four grand pianos, is quickly becoming a community tradition. The concert features outstanding pianists from Snyder’s congregation and the Music Academy Faculty. Arrangements of classical, sacred, and patriotic music will ensure an exciting and enjoyable evening for everyone.

for joy to the Lord;

Rock of our salvation.

with thanksgiving and extol

Edward Huls has appeared in major operatic roles in almost every opera house in the United States, including San Francisco Opera, Chicago Lyric Opera and is still on the roster of the New York City Opera. |

Snyder Music Academy is very fortunate to have a great source of talent from our academy faculty. Performing this year, Jesse Davis, pianist; Megan Kenny, violinist; Leslie Davis, pianist; and Shannon French, soprano. |

Our congregation is given a wonderful opportunity to support our Music Academy students as they present their best. All of these students have participated in the Music Academy’s adjudicated music festival and were selected by the judges to perform for this special concert. |

His wife Eunjoo Lee has appeared many times at Lincoln Center in several solo appearances at Carnegie Hall. She also frequents opera Companies throughout the United States singing major Operatic roles.
The husband and wife team perform many concerts in the New York area performing Opera and Broadway music. |
